Back home in Chamonix.

Jim and I are recently home again after spending the first 3 months of the northern hemisphere winter in the southern hemisphere summer ! And it seems that we choose the right winter to miss.

We spent the first part of our trip at Mt Arapilles in the state of Victoria, Australia. It is 20 years since I last climbed at Mt Arapilles, and it hasn’t got any easier or any less impressive ! I’d forgotten how endearingly different Australia’s native creatures are too !

Back at home the Ski Touring season has started. There has been more snow in Chamonix in the last 2 weeks than the previous 2 months ! Off piste and touring conditions are looking very good now.

I still have some breaks in my schedule this spring if you are interested in a ski tour, some instruction on ski touring or off piste days !
